The ISBN assignment is unique and solely used for identifying a specific publication or product.

ISBNco manages ISBN assignments to prevent duplication.

Independent Publisher is listed as the registrant for provided ISBN(s) from Self Publisher Program.

The buyer retains all copyright/ownership rights and has discretion in assigning usage to the product.

The buyer is responsible for providing title information to ISBNco and their trading partners.

The buyer cannot resell, lease, assign or otherwise transfer the purchased ISBNs.

The buyer is liable for any legal claims arising from the use of the provided bar code and numbers, including product liability claims, criminal prosecution, and retailer punitive fines.

Failure to adhere to the terms may result in cancellation of the ISBN assignment.
Due to the digital nature of ISBNs and barcodes, companies in the industry do not offer refunds. Our refund policy is a 50% fee to cover our costs in issuing and reissuing codes, which can be found here.
